Investment Data Analyst

The Role

The primary focus of this role is managing the data life-cycle on behalf of our clients. The jobholder will ensure that the data we receive and use is of the requisite quality and in the correct format. The quality of the data is essential to our ability to provide the high level of service we offer. Equally important is compliance and governance: the data we use is commercially sensitive and so needs to be handled with care – data security is paramount and the IDA will be responsible for overseeing how, where and when it is used. The jobholder will also be responsible for analysis and collation of information from global data feeds networks and updating our in-house class action management system as necessary.

Core Responsibilities

  • On-board new client data from various systems and sources
  • Download transaction data reports from in-house class action management system, ensuring accurate parameters are set to ensure correct transaction data reports are run
  • Identify, analyse and resolve data exceptions and communicate impact of these to affected users in a timely manner
  • Act as reference point, investigate and satisfactorily resolve questions and queries relating to data
  • Liaise with custodians and settlement administrators, and ensure data is available and correct
  • Review global data feeds and information; analyse, collate case information and enter/update in-house system

Essential Skills/Experience

Client Services Analyst

The Role

IPS has a full-time position open for a Client Services Analyst, reporting to the Client Services Delivery Manager. The jobholder will be an integral member of the Client Services Delivery team and will have a broad remit, ensuring overall that our investor clients receive a consistently high level of service. This will include verifying, preparing and managing client claims, analysing and reconciling investment data, and communicating with major institutional investors.

The position requires the ability to manage and prioritise your own workload, working to a very high standard, hard deadlines and with excellent attention to detail. It will suit a candidate with excellent communication and computer skills, a positive professional attitude and the ability to work in a team. It is a position that is challenging and rewarding in equal measure and will suit someone who is keen to bring added value to the business through not only their aptitude and experience but also their positive attitude and enthusiasm. Core Responsibilities

  • Liaising with clients, custodians, settlement administrators, law firms, litigation funders, and other relevant parties involved in this area of group litigation
  • Understanding and interpreting claims process documentation
  • Identifying, analysing and processing financial transaction records on behalf of clients
  • Ensuring other departments within IPS are kept equally up to date with developments and contributing to the company’s website with related content
  • Generation and filing of clients’ claims across multiple jurisdictions

Essential Skills

The successful candidate will ideally have a relevant financial services background, preferably with experience of working with investment data. However, consideration will be given to candidates who have worked in other sectors as long as they can demonstrate having used the following core skills in a relevant commercial environment. Consideration will also be given to recent graduates (or equivalent) who have qualifications in finance and/or business-related subjects. A qualification in financial investments such as the CISI IOC or equivalent is advantageous but not essential.
